A structured process
for every decision.

Most traders operate without a governing framework. They select stocks without first assessing the broader market environment. They make entry decisions in real time under pressure. They size positions based on how confident they feel, not a fixed rule. And they manage losses and profits with discretion rather than pre-defined criteria.

The result is not bad luck. It is the absence of structure. A rules-based process removes the decisions that should not be made in the moment and replaces them with criteria established before any pressure is applied.

Everything taught in this programme is documented, rule-based, and deliverable within a licensed, regulated context. There are no predictions. No market calls. No signals. Just a professional process applied consistently to ASX-listed securities.

Market environment first
Before any stock is considered, the broader ASX environment is assessed against a structured set of criteria. If the environment is not constructive, there are no trades. That discipline is built into the process from week one.
Stock selection with defined criteria
Identifying ASX securities in the right phase of their cycle to offer a favourable risk-to-reward opportunity. Not scanning for action. Scanning for quality against a defined standard.
Entry and exit by the rules
Entry criteria defined before the session opens. Exit criteria set at the time of entry. No discretion at the moment of decision. The framework governs the trade from classification through to close.
Risk as a fixed rule
Position sizing calculated as a fixed percentage of capital before the trade is placed. Stop placement determined by market structure, not preference. The same rule applied to every trade, regardless of confidence level.
Identity over discipline
The framework does not ask you to be more disciplined. It asks you to become a different kind of trader. One who operates, not reacts. That shift is built deliberately through the programme, not assumed.
The problem

You already know
what is wrong.

The knowledge is there. The experience is there in many cases. What is missing is a structure that governs your decisions before the pressure of a live market takes over. Every deviation from your own rules felt justified at the time. That is not a willpower problem. It is a structure problem.

01
No environment filter
Trading in any market conditions because the individual stock setup looks appealing. The environment governs everything. Without assessing it first, stock selection is guesswork dressed as analysis.
02
Real-time decisions under pressure
When price moves, the process goes out the window. The entry that made sense before the session opened now feels different. The decision gets made in the moment, under pressure, without a governing rule.
03
Risk sized by feel
Larger positions when confident. Stops moved when the trade moves against you. Profits cut early. Losses held. None of it governed by a fixed rule because the rule changes with the emotion.
04
No systematic feedback loop
Errors identified in hindsight with no structured way to correct them. No journal. No process review. No visibility on whether the pattern of errors is changing or simply repeating at a different cost.

Markets have always
worked the same way.

The structural behaviour that drives liquid markets is not new. What gets rebranded each decade under different terminology is the same fundamental dynamic that experienced practitioners have observed and documented for a century. Price seeks liquidity. It moves between levels of genuine institutional interest. It accumulates, distributes, and trends in phases that are identifiable with the right framework.

What changes is the label. The behaviour does not.

The framework taught in this programme does not rely on the terminology of the moment. It is built around the underlying behaviour of liquid markets as applied specifically to ASX-listed securities. That is why it does not expire. That is why it applies across different market conditions. And that is why 26 years of genuine market experience matters in building and refining it.

Everything taught here has been applied through real market cycles. Not selected examples from favourable conditions. The full cycle, including the periods that expose every flaw in a framework that is not genuinely robust.

There came a point where I wanted to build something that was entirely mine. A framework I believed in completely, taught on my own terms, to people who were serious about getting better. That is what this is.

JP, Trade Profitably

John Pontikas.

Twenty-six years in financial markets. The early part of that career was institutional, at ABN AMRO Morgans and then RBS Morgans, where the standard for process, accountability, and professional conduct was set by the environment. Those years established a foundation that private practice since 2011 has refined, not softened.

JP founded JMP Strategic Investments in 2011 and has operated as an Authorised Representative under AFSL 384713 since that time. The framework taught in this programme was built and refined across the full market cycle, including the conditions that expose every weakness in a process that is not genuinely durable.

The cohort is deliberately small. JP responds personally to every enquiry. There is no team behind the programme. When you ask a question, JP answers it. When your chart is reviewed in a 1-on-1 session, JP reviews it. That is a deliberate structural choice, not a limitation.
