My passion for financial markets began in the 1990s. During my time at university, I developed a strong desire to understand how markets worked - not just in theory, but in practice. That curiosity has never left me.

After graduating, I built my career at the institutional end of the industry, including practice at ABN AMRO Morgans. Over more than two decades I traded ASX stocks, futures, currencies, commodities, warrants, and options across multiple market cycles - navigating both the wins and the losses that shape any serious career in markets.

In 2011 I founded JMP Strategic Investments, my own boutique advisory firm. It gave me the freedom to focus on what I believed mattered most - putting clients first, without the conflicts that are endemic to institutional broking.

What I kept seeing, both inside institutions and in my own practice, was the same problem. Experienced traders had the knowledge - they understood charts, candlesticks, technical analysis. But without a structured execution framework to organise that knowledge, they kept making the same discretionary mistakes under pressure. Not because they lacked intelligence. Because nobody had ever shown them how to operate like a professional.

Trade Profitably is my answer to that. Rule-based. No discretion. A structured execution framework for independent traders - built by a licensed financial adviser with 26 years on the other side of the trade.

What I believe

Most traders don't fail because they lack knowledge. They fail because they lack structure. The difference between a trader who executes consistently and one who doesn't is rarely intelligence - it's the discipline to follow a professional process, in every session, regardless of outcome.

That's what Trade Profitably teaches. And it's what 26 years in markets has taught me.
